I am fine with my information as it is presented on the Florida official site, the Worldometers site, and the Covid Act Now site partnered with Stanford and Georgetown university. So I don't need to email anyone about anything.

You, on the other hand, feel the need to point out imaginary manipulation without any backup except pointing to a disgruntled employee who was fired. Maybe you should email her. Or maybe you can email a good shrink. Either way, I really don't care.

Are you trying to claim that the information presented on the Florida State COVID portal did not change between March and now... with some items being removed?

Are you trying to claim that the Florida state data feed did not change regularly between March and now... for the most part removing data elements from the state's COVID data feed?

Both of the above are easily documented facts..... the data feed revisions coming from the state itself.

squawk squawk manipulation squawk squawk Ron DeSantis squawk squawk fake data...

We're doing fine in Florida. From what I see, you might want to check out North Carolina data...getting worrysome.

If the deaths here in Florida begin to rise significantly, I will get concerned. But it won't change what we can do about it. We're done, we're open, we're back to business. Get a life and move on, gwb. We have.

Yes... North Carolina is getting worrisome.

But at least we know our state COVID data is transparent and correct.

Which doesn't matter one bit if people start dying, nor does it matter if they don't. Hey, who gives a shit at all, then?

Three sources, and your claim that one is bad. If so, and that's a big if, the other two are just fine.

At the time of a public health crisis it is critical that medical data provided by the state government is transparent and correct. If the data is not correct then the people will not trust it; nor will they trust that the public health actions put into place by state officials are in the best interests of the residents.

The most important step in addressing a public health crisis is providing transparent and correct data -- if you fail this then your entire response is failed.

The state should act as the master source of correct data - the media and national health organization should not have to go around collecting proper data from counties, hospitals, and medical associations -- when the state has all the correct data but is refusing to provide it or is manipulating it.

I'd be willing to bet that half, if not more, of all the data being used in this crisis - including and most of all - the data used to close down the country and destroy the economy was incorrect and imperfect and in many cased, hosed. The fact that you are claiming, without any hard proof, that Florida is just the latest case of that doesn't do anything for me. Three sources show the same story. End of story.

You're still on about what temperature the cookies were baked at, and the cookies are already on the table and the guests are eating them. Get over it already and move on to what matters - is the virus getting worse or better and what is the effect on real human beings?

The problem is that the three sources DO NO show the same data. The DeSantis state COVID portal has different data from all the other sources. There is no reasonable explanation for this.

Let's take Deaths. Your assertion is that recent data on deaths on the DeSantis state COVID portal is different because the state is catching up and using a different accounting method that has some delay.

However after 14 days then the number of deaths on a particular day in Florida on the DeSantis state COVID portal should be the same as the other data sources. Obviously it is not. Yet you have not provided a explanation of why the number of deaths on the DeSantis portal after 14 days for a particular date is nearly always lower than all other sources.

Bottom Line: Transparent and correct medical data in a national health crisis is critical. Any state being less than transparent is doing a huge disservice to its residents.
