If you don't like the Daily Beast then you can read about it from many different source including your local Florida news outlets. Regeneron Ron is pushing treatments which are totally ineffective against Omicron. Nothing more than an expensive placebo. Florida To Open Additional Monoclonal Antibody Treatment Sites https://miami.cbslocal.com/2022/01/...ditional-monoclonal-antibody-treatment-sites/ Florida will open five additional monoclonal antibody treatment sites, three of which will be in South Florida. The new sites will open Tuesday, January 18th. The South Florida sites will be at Markham Park in Sunrise, Miami Dade College North Campus at 11380 NW 27th Ave, and the West Boynton Recreation Center in Lake Worth. The two other sites will be in Jacksonville and Altamonte Springs. At the beginning of the month, Governor Ron DeSantis requested that the federal government increase the supply of monoclonal antibody treatments it sends to the state to at least 30,000 doses per week. On January 7th, the governor announced that 15,000 doses of Regeneron had been secured and would support new monoclonal antibody sites. A full list of state-supported operational monoclonal antibody therapy sites can be found HERE. Monoclonal antibodies help the immune system recognize and respond effectively to the COVID-19 virus. Monoclonal antibody therapy treatment is for individuals who have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19. It can prevent severe illness, hospitalization, and death in high-risk patients who have contracted COVID-19. The treatment is not a substitute for vaccination.
Soon no one will be able to know WTF goes on in Florida and in the country for that matter. Florida Republicans advance bill to let prisons conceal information on 'horrific and painful' execution drugs: report Emory University Hospital anatomic pathologist Dr. Mark Edgar has warned that Florida's protocol is essentially torturing prisoners to death. On Wednesday, the Miami Herald reported that Florida Republicans are advancing a bill, requested by state prison officials, that would bar the public from obtaining records that "could reasonably lead to the identification of any person or entity participating in an execution" — which would allow the state to conceal information on the supply chain for how they obtain drugs used in lethal injections. According to the report, "Sen. Doug Broxson, a Pensacola Republican, told the Herald he filed the bill at the urging of Department of Corrections officials." This comes as drug companies face pressure to stop using their drugs in executions — and as Florida has adopted a unique cocktail of drugs that experts warn could be excruciatingly painful to death row prisoners. "Florida is the only state that uses etomidate, a short-acting sedative, and the first of three drugs in the lethal injection cocktail," reported Ben Conarck and Ana Ceballos. "Some medical experts say etomidate is inadequate for rendering someone truly unconscious during an execution, leading to excruciating pain for prisoners who receive the fatal doses. Johnson & Johnson, etomidate’s original manufacturer, called for states not to administer it in lethal injections in a public statement prior to Florida’s first execution using the drug."
ALL murderers should be punished by a horrible death similar to the one they caused. Why be nice to these EVIL monsters who killed innocent people? These are not babies who need coddling for what they have done.
Oh, I don't care about the Daily Beast either way. I just find it hilarious that you point out how we should distrust sites because they rank poorly on the Mediabiasfactcheck site, and then you go and use sources that rank poorly from there as your sources. Just another example of you shooting yourself in the foot.
So --- just like Florida ---- if we don't test then Covid doesn't exist in our state. Oh... look at those cases going down., what a miracle, must be the "great leadership" from the governor. Wonder why there are no lines at testing centers.... but there are long lines at the ERs.
What is the purpose of discouraigng testing though... testing is just confirming whether you have COVID or not
Its discouraging testing for asymptomatic individuals and people who were "exposed". Pointless, uses up tests for people who need them, and generally disrupts life.
