The guy did a press conference this very day. And last week he was with his wife who was getting cancer treatments, you ghoul.
You think that someone who was immune compromised -- like DeSantis' wife -- would not be seen partying it up in crowded venues without a mask around the New Year. The excuse of "cancer treatment' falls short -- based on the couple's recent activity. Ron seems to be doing living it up and doing everything except addressing the current Covid surge in Florida.
I'm going with the assumption you have some evidence of all of this "living it up" you claim is going on? You've got the couple's list of activities in the last two weeks you can show?
Plenty of press on their activities around the new year -- go look it up. For example... DeSantis touts 'freest state' of Florida during appearance at New Years Eve Christian concert in Miami https://www.fox13news.com/news/desa...e-at-new-years-eve-christian-concert-in-miami Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his wife, Casey, rang in the new year at a Christian concert in Miami, where he touted the state's freedom amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Gov. Ron DeSantis to make public appearance at Orange Bowl, first event appearance in two weeks https://www.wfla.com/news/florida/g...appearance-at-orange-bowl-first-in-two-weeks/ etc. etc. etc.
So your "proof" that DeSantis and wife are "living it up" is to show that they celebrated the New Year on New Year's Eve, and that the Governor is set to make an appearance at the Orange Bowl this coming Friday? Whoa...that's a packed schedule! And what does it have to do with the fact that he went with his wife for cancer treatments during the holiday week, again? And that he wasn't "missing" like you claimed?
Yep... DeSantis was missing in action for two weeks. First... his spokeswoman tried to claim he was on vacation. Then she laughably tried to claim he was attending to the state's business. Finally they pull the "cancer treatment" card out of their rear. Completely laughable.
Of course they're going to say he's on vacation. Dude is with his wife on PTO. Personal time off. Only when the lunatic libs like yourself insist there is something going on do they share the personal part of the personal time off. But Newsome can disappear from the state for weeks, or Biden can go back to Delaware and you don't hear from him, yet something is fishy with DeSantis. You're a fucking clown. Always have been. "Something Out Of Nothing" should be on your tombstone.
DeSantis is shoveling his typical shiat again. First let's mention that only one of the three monoclonal antibody treatments -- Sotrovimab -- is effective against Omicron. Sotrovimab is in short supply. Regeneron and Eli Lilly are ineffective against Omicron. Currently treatment centers need to test for the type of variant before offering monoclonal antibody treatment curently. Florida's clinics (setup by DeSantis) refuse to test for the type of variant. So the clinics can only assume that every Covid case is Omicron and Sotrovimab must be used. Of course, Sotrovimab is in short supply nationally. Sadly the clinics setup by DeSantis could treat people with Delta -- if they would just allow variant testing to occur. There is plenty of Regeneron and Eli Lilly supply available which can treat Delta. However -- DeSantis isn't making any of these important nuances known -- he is just charging ahead attacking the Biden administration while ignoring the fiasco caused by his own policies which refuse to test for variant type (which of course is also fully funded with federal dollars but not being done in Florida). The hospital systems (as opposed to clinics) in Florida have over 12,000 monoclonal antibody treatments currently in stock. Nearly all are Regeneron and Eli Lilly. DeSantis calls for more monoclonal antibodies for COVID after sites facing shortages https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article257011802.html Gov. Ron DeSantis is urging the federal government to send between 30,000 and 40,000 more doses of monoclonal antibody treatments to Florida. The call from Florida’s top elected official comes as COVID-19 cases climb to record heights. It also comes amid renewed tension between state and federal officials over the monoclonal treatments, which are given to vulnerable patients after exposure to COVID-19. “We have the ability, and we will, immediately turn on additional sites as soon as the federal government gives us the supply,” DeSantis said at a news conference at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. The governor said his administration would set up additional state-run monoclonal antibody sites in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, the three counties with the highest number of new COVID cases in the state, and a site in central Florida if the state gets enough doses from the federal government. Federal data shows that the state’s hospitals have more than 12,000 doses of Regeneron and Eli Lilly’s monoclonal antibody treatments on hand.
