They never admit to being wrong. Ever. Rare indeed is the politicians that says they made a mistake. This is a shame, really, and the root of most of our problems.

So you're right, expect the doubling and tripling down. I hope they continue to push all the stupidity, and they'll reap what they sow.

Yet every map shows Covid issues primarily are occurring in red states which are not using proper public health policies and have lower vaccination rates.

Reality shows this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated primarily occurring in red states. You and FOX News can try to spin the reality — but the facts are clear.

Florida has reaped 50,000 dead — an extraordinary number of them occurring in recent months while vaccines are readily available — while DeSantis continually undermines vaccination to stop Covid.

Whoa there, Trigger. Covering a lot of ground there in your attempt to obfuscate and hide the fact you were dead wrong on Florida.

Some factual info for you: Florida is #8 in deaths per 1M. Three blue states worse, New York, New Jersey and Louisiana. Of these, only Louisiana went through their latest wave (because of seasonality). Two have yet to go through their winter of discontent.

Additionally, you were calling for the end of Florida for...well, how long? I could go back and post some of your greatest hits if you'd like. I could also point out all the times I talked about virus seasonality - which is exactly what we're seeing here.

And lastly, this is a "DeSantis for the Win" thread. We talk about Florida here. I really don't care about your narrative on red vs. blue states. All I care is that Florida is rocking and rolling, economically and politically a republican lock for the next gubernatorial. DeSantis is more popular than ever, the Democrats essentially pulled out of funding either Crist or Fried for the next election despite the pandering and shoveling of bullshit all those hilarious rags you constantly quote (the Times, the Sentinel, etc) on this thread. All of this despite never having mask mandates, schools being open consistently, and a governor who is about freedom - and flipping off the main stream media panic porn. That must really drive loons like you nuts.

Essentially, this thread is a record of your failure on predicting everything in regards to Florida, memorialized forever in time.

  5. With a Governor and a surgeon general like these two clowns.........what could go wrong!!!!

Ron DeSantis’ surgeon general got his medical license approved in just two days

It's been just a few days since Florida Surgeon General was attacked by former colleagues at UCLA for inflating his resume and lying about his work during the COVID-19 crisis in Los Angeles hospitals.

The Florida Ledger reported Wednesday that Dr. Joseph Ladapo's medical license was approved in just two days, a process that normally takes 2-6 months, the board's website says. The fact was also confirmed by medical and legal professionals who know the process. The report also noted that all of the members of the 15 person Board of Medicine were approved by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL). The governor has been criticized for more than a year for his handling of the pandemic, concealing data about how many people in the state got the virus or died from it and other concerns.

"As a physician, this revelation raises further grave concerns about Dr. Ladapo," said Dr. Mona Mangat, a St. Petersburg allergist and immunologist in an email to paper. "Fast-tracking of his medical license and placement in the University of Florida as a professor additionally undermines our trust in this man."

Ladapo, who is currently anti-mask, anti-vaccine for children, and a supporter of the drug Hydroxychloroquine and the animal dewormer Ivermectin, previously taught at UCLA's medical school where he claimed he was with the COVID-19 task force. While UCLA won't answer questions about Dr. Ladapo, colleagues of his disputed the claim.

Show us the numbers for the past few months. You know… the time period when Florida led the nation in easily preventable Covid deaths — both in raw numbers and per capita.

Pretty sure he had is CA license and expedition/reciprocity is a two day thing when driven through government.

Prior to joining UF, he served as an associate professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) caring for hospitalized patients.

But hey, why let facts destroy a perfectly good character assassination attempt!
