So you can't dispute any of the actual data shown? you're better off just ignoring the post instead of proving my point.

But then, you've never been good at thinking a few steps ahead.

As I mentioned earlier there are two models from Florida universities showing the peak will occur in late August in Florida. Hopefully this is true and Florida will see a decline in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. However it should be noted that these models were based on the U.K. Delta experience where they have a higher vaccination rate, mitigations, and other measures in place to address Covid.

Clearly Delta is going to increase in other states next -- it's hard to stop after it spread out of Florida originally to everywhere else in the U.S. However many of these other states have measures such as mask mandates in place which will reduce the cases, hospitalizations, and deaths below the record levels Florida is enduring.

    Holy shit!

You're starting to actually sound like a real scientist now! Partially.

So if DeSantis is truly the devil incarnate and so bad, why would Covid peak? Additionally, if other governors are so NOT DeSantis and doing things right, why would they suffer a similar outbreak?

I called the peak back in the first week of August. Several times. Like clockwork.

Well -- as noted in previous articles -- 42% of the people in Florida have started wearing masks voluntarily when faced with the Delta outbreak -- raising the rate of mask wearing from the 20% range. Likewise more people in Florida started to get vaccinated due to the misery inflicted by Delta - it got people off the fence & vaccinated. Likewise people who were infected with Delta in Florida have short-term natural immunity . All of these are factors which help Florida get over the peak in this particular wave.

Other governors -- who are focused on public health -- have taken measures such as masking & vaccine mandates for public employees that will reduce the impact from Delta. At this point cases are rising -- and will continue rising over the upcoming weeks. The intent is to steer clear of breaking Covid records in the manner of Florida -- and avoid widespread Covid misery across the states. Admittedly it is quite a challenge.

"Widespread misery". Aaannnd you revert back to idiot mode.

Florida is open for business and there is no widespread misery. We have one of the most popular governors in the country - both on the right and as a target for the left (which means you know he is doing things right because they fear him coming to power).

Florida suffered its wave, now its time for the north. And you'll be busy spinning the narrative in a desperate attempt to say "it could have been worse!!"

Call those people in the hospitals in Florida which are overloaded and tell them there is no misery.

Can say that about every state. Call the people around the world in the hospitals. Call the cancer patients. Call the people dying of diabetes and emphysema.

Or how about "Call the people who lost their business?"

Call the people who couldn't send their kids to school or lost their jobs or lost their quality of life because of lockdowns. Tell them there is no misery.

    Florida doing awesome there!

Except he withheld salaries of school board members who voted against the state EO. But that doesn't make for good narrative and headlines with liberals, so lets pretend he withheld money from children.

Florida Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran announced Monday that the department has withheld funds in the amount of monthly school board member salaries from Alachua and Broward county districts for implementing mask mandates that parents do not have the option to opt out of, violating a state order.
Rather brilliant, actually. Now we will see if the board members pay themselves and not pay something else in the district or if they will go without pay to stand up for their principles.
