Sure, if you want to pretend that was something other than someone busting out laughing. Then yes - in that imaginary world, I'm mocking.
Why don't you mock this Duke ER Nurse who get emotional at the end of her media interview as well. Or the many other front-line health workers who get emotional during interviews. Duke ER nurse says light at the end of the tunnel from COVID-19 cases is gone as cases surge https://www.wral.com/coronavirus/du...vid-19-cases-is-gone-as-cases-surge/19814993/
By the way DeSantis had a conference clip I saw where he was pushing for everyone to get vaccinated and that it saves lives. I am not sure that got the same press coverage on the right since it was off message but at least Ron is trying to go back on push advice of medical professionals rather than run for 2024.
He's always been about pushing the vaccine for people who need it (the vulnerable). This is why the elderly were vaccinated first (against the CDC's guidelines on 65 and older - and the comments of folks like GWB and the media who were grilling DeSantis for it). So he still maintains the same position: The vulnerable need to be vaccinated. This is common sense.
I trust what DeSantis actually said versus what you think he said... July 2021 Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday joined the chorus of prominent conservatives urging people to get vaccinated against COVID-19, but he continued criticizing the federal government’s approach. COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations are on the rise nationwide, particularly in Florida. One statistic released by the White House estimated that 20% of new cases last week occurred in Florida. Conservative regions have largely trailed in vaccinations. This week, Republican officials and conservative media figures reignited calls for people to get the shot.
Ok, so you trust what the news article you wrote said he said, but don't like what I said he said. Whatever. This very thread has examples where GWB and the media were criticizing DeSantis' approach on vaccinating seniors 65 and up (despite the CDC saying it should only be 75 and up). Which, is exactly what I claimed he did (and what they hammered him for). I can provide the exact posts if you would like. I can also provide press conferences where DeSantis said that his strategy was to focus on the vulnerable and not those who were not vulnerable - talking about nursing homes and people 65 and older getting vaccinated...which is exactly what I said. So, not really sure what bug is up your ass, but happy to correct what is not accurate in my text if you want to show it.
