Unvaccinated adult passengers will also have also have to eat in their own separate dining room, will not be allowed in the theater (except for unvaccinated shows), will not be allowed in group events, be only allowed in a small number of cabins, not be allowed off the ship in most ports, and have many other restrictions. Basically unvaccinated adult passengers might as well spend the entire cruise in their cabins spanking their monkey. The cruise line is trying to get the point across that they are not welcome and to stay away.

    P.S. -- DeSantis can't do a thing about it.

    So much DeSantis "winning".

Want a miserable cruise experience? Try to step on a cruise ship unvaccinated. Where you will be treated as a social pariah, not allowed in group settings like the theater, and generally treated like dirt. Just so the message gets across that you are not wanted.

Yes, you can cruise from Florida without a vaccine — if you pay for testing and sail in ‘mask class’

DeSantis won't have to do anything about it, because those passengers won't go. And the cruise lines will eventually relax the restrictions because they'll find they can't afford to sail ships with not-full capacity.

I offered you a bet, you didn't take it.

Seems to me that DeSantis is working hard to get the CDC to allow the cruise lines to operate at all. He is simultaneously a proponent and regulator. Its complicated.

    Exactly.

Wait till we see more “breakthrough” cases, the current mindset will be tossed out the window. Vaccinated or not you can still carry and pass on the virus. Won’t be long you’re going to need a negative covid test, plus jab record and still wear a mask...... who in the hell wants that?

Best thing the Cruise industry can can do is open it up and tell passengers board at your own risk.

‘CDC has been wrong all along, and they knew it’, says Ron DeSantis as judge rules CDC can’t regulate cruises
    https://news.yahoo.com/cdc-wrong-along-knew-says-174859319.html

A Florida federal judge has ruled that the Centers for Disease Control cannot enforce its Covid-19 restriction on the cruise industry after 18 July.

The decision was welcomed by the state’s Republican governor Ron DeSantis who sued the federal government health agency in April.

US District Judge Steven Merryday ruled that the CDC’s sailing order will be a “non-binding ‘consideration’, ‘recommendation’ or ‘guideline’” when applied to cruise sailings from the state next month.

In siding with Florida he approved the state’s motion for a preliminary injunction suspending the CDC guidelines until 18 July.
