Care to post the source of that chart? Because I'm guessing that when Florida is selected, all other states have one "dot" and Florida is detailed out. Of course, you don't mention this because your narrative is made to appear like Florida is widespread and all other states aren't. I'd like to look at the other states.
All you do is go to Google and type in Florida Covid and the map appears on the right hand side. And you are correct -- if you type in the name of another state their full map appears with all their purple dots.

By far, the most common variant was the B.1.1.7 — the strain first detected in the United Kingdom — reported in 9,050 cases statewide. Estimated to be 60% more infectious than the original dominant strain of COVID-19, it is also believed to result in more severe illness and higher hospitalization rates. The most recent estimate is that it is 67% more deadly. In Florida, the variants have led to the death of 62 people — twice the number reported two weeks ago — and to the hospitalization of 222 residents. And since only 1% of all COVID cases undergo testing to study their genetic coding, the actual number of such infections in Florida is likely much higher. So did total cases double? Or did the variant percentage just increase as a total share of all cases? Because those are two different things. Also, are all testing centers now testing for the variant?
