Of course non of that proves that Florida is the cause for the spread of variants. Florida could have gotten the variants from MI and NY.
Boom... you just made my counter conjecture seem much stronger. than your conjecture.. and I was not even trying. Who brought the Covid there over Thanksgiving and Christmas?
Well seeing that the variants were basically not present anywhere in the U.S. except in Florida prior to January.... the point is obvious. The first published paper announcing the discovery of the U.K. variant came out on December 16th. https://www.bmj.com/content/371/bmj.m4857
You obviously know nothing about the amount of Euros and Canadians who visit and/or winter in Florida. And your point is far from obvious.. in fact your point is ignorant. https://www.cuimc.columbia.edu/news/new-home-grown-coronavirus-variant-found-new-york-city-region The prevalence of the new variant—called B.1.526—has been steadily increasing since it first appeared in samples collected in Nov. 2020. In Jan. 2021, B.1.526 represented about 3% of samples analyzed by the researchers, rising to 12.3% by mid-February. The cases they found are scattered throughout the New York City area.
The first published paper announcing the discovery of the U.K. variant came out on December 16th. https://www.bmj.com/content/371/bmj.m4857 Take the timeline in context. It is probable that some U.K. citizen brought it to Florida in late December. However Florida just let it run wild from there with no mitigation. Eventually it was transported from Florida to every U.S. state.
you are pulling shit out your ass now... there were and are already variants all over. Is De Santis responsible for all the variants in CA too?
