It is amazing that you cannot go do a simple Google search and easily find all the Florida media and newspaper sources reporting 46 deaths on Thursday. Here is the Herald Tribune again. While you are at it... look at the sources I posted above. If you don't think 4 sources are enough then go search Google for several hundred more. 5,004 new COVID-19 cases in Florida and 46 more deaths Thursday https://www.heraldtribune.com/news/...-cases-in-florida-and-46-more-deaths-thursday The Florida Department of Health announced 5,004 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Thursday. Florida now has 114,018 coronavirus cases across the state. The number of reported deaths increased by 46 to 3,327 since Wednesday. Now explain why all the media in Florida is reporting 46 COVID deaths on Thursday while the DeSantis state portal shows under 10.
Thank you for linking to actual sources. They all say something like this: Another 46 new deaths related to the virus were confirmed Thursday, bringing the state's total to 3,327. The state reported 44 new deaths Wednesday and 64 new deaths on Tuesday. None of them say that 46 new deaths all occurred on Thursday. Not one (granted, I only read three of them). An intelligent person open to the interpretation of data would say "Huh, why would this be different than the number on the Florida Dashboard? Especially since the source data is the same?? Ah, duh!! Because the 46 new deaths didn't all occur on Thursday! They were just reported on Thursday!" The bottom of the dashboard clearly states: The Deaths by Day chart shows the total number of Florida residents with confirmed COVID-19 that died on each calendar day (12:00 AM - 11:59 PM). Death data often has significant delays in reporting, so data within the past two weeks will be updated frequently. Death counts are clearly updated every day - not just for the current day - but for ALL the days prior based on when the person was reported to have died. So unless you have a definitive source that proves all 46 of these people died on Thursday, you're wrong! Have the decency to admit your error. And based on this error, you claim manipulation and fraud. What a joke.
I'm not saying it's true or not, I'm just saying we don't know. I am not sure death rates will go back up to where they were because it's more young people getting it which is a good thing (lower deaths, not young people getting it) and yes it's MORE important, but it's not necessarily the only thing that matters. Say they are right about long term effects on the heart/kidneys etc and it's only 5% that get complications after the fact, that could be a shitload of people by the time this is over. If we never get a good vaccine it's a mute point and has to happen, but if we do as they claim we will, these complications could have been avoided if it wasn't so important for the South to own the libs.
If I said it was the "only" thing that matters, I shouldn't have. But it is the most important statistic. As for owning the libs, I could care less about the libs. All I want is the economy and people's livelihood to return.
You failed to provide any explanation whatsoever which is reasonable. The most important point is that to have public trust the government must be providing data with integrity. As soon as there is any question regarding the validity of the data then your administration will lose all public trust. The starting point of addressing issues (even with disagreements) is valid, factual data. The DeSantis administration has lost the trust of the people, the media, and healthcare professionals. The lack of transparency of COVID data by his administration in a healthcare crisis is unacceptable.
The economy and people's livelihoods will NOT return until the COVID-19 situation is properly addressed. Take a look at New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea for proper examples of addressing COVID. Since they used a proper lockdown they are now effectively opened for business and have had minimal economic impacts compared to other nations.
I failed to provide any explanation? You claim the DeSantis administration is manipulating data. As proof you offer up articles that show the number of deaths reported on Thursday was 46. And you say this doesn't match the number of deaths showing that occurred on Thursday. That's your proof. I show that the dashboard is updated daily not just for the previous day but for ALL previous days and the 46 deaths were likely updated throughout the previous days (you can easily see this if you look at the last few days death count posts in my screenshots - each day goes up despite it being earlier in the period). This is a bunch of worthless shit, and what I've come to expect of you. Before challenging the integrity of others, you really should work on your own.
I'm not discussing anything else with you at this point other than what we are currently talking about, as you cannot have an honest conversation - so there's no reason to open more than one with you.
Here are the screenshots I posted from this week. You can clearly see how death amounts for previous days are adjusted as more deaths relevant to those days are reported. I mean, this is like 5th grade math. Totally reasonable for the paper to say 46 deaths were reported and this matches the dashboard. Evidence of manipulation, my ass. If you've got a narrative to push, sure. 6/22 6/23 6/24 Today
