Imagine thinking the guy who corruptly ignored guidance to vaccinate the most at risk of infection & on demand population (front line workers) to curry favor w/his base (boomers who vote GOP) would not double down on said corruption when he's executing such plan?

You are saying the elderly aren't the most at risk from infection?

I just want to make sure I read your....statement....correctly.

Just gonna leave this here, 'kay?

83% of all deaths are in the category you are saying DeSantis SHOULD NOT PRIORITIZE.

75 and older are at most at risk for death. 65 to 74 without pre-existing conditions are not -- when compared to other groups. This is why the CDC and federal government provided the guidance on vaccination order which DeSantis ignored.

Other states followed the federal government guidance and were doing 75 and older.

So, just to be clear, you are saying that DeSantis is bad because he included the 65-74 category in the "vulnerable" group? And you are saying this with the understanding that this population group - in Florida is over 20% of the dead, right?

Oh, i'd also like to point out that I've not heard ONE PEEP from any of you on how New Jersey allows smokers to be prioritized for vaccines.

Is that in the federal guidelines?

I can understand DeSantis wanting to vaccinate over 65 and older based on the high portion of the state population who are retirees.

If the rollout to this population was fair and equitable then you could make a case that it was a noble decision. But what we have seen is a continually trend of vaccinating GOP supporters in Florida -- both via excess allocations to the counties that are red and via pop-up vaccination events targeted at wealthy GOP communities place DeSantis' decision in a very different light.

I believe that allowing smokers under 65 to be prioritized in New Jersey is absurd -- especially since they jumped in line before others with pre-existing risk conditions.

BTW -- Great job with your Whataboutism.
I will note that New Jersey is not targeting vaccines only to smokers who are political donors and party supporters of the governor,

Let's get back to discussing DeSantis' corruption in Florida.

Thank you. Whatabouism is a great tool to expose hypocrites. Sorry you think otherwise.

Let's get back to discussing your accusations of DeSantis's corruption. Still waiting on proof.

I don't see evidence of this at all. Oh, I hear you claiming it over and over, and posting editorials from papers that hate everyone not a democrat, but that's quite different than proof of corruption.
