Florida continues to outpace rest of country with new mutant COVID-19 cases https://www.clickorlando.com/news/l...of-country-with-new-mutant-covid-19-cases/#//
From your article: The number of mutant cases is expected to grow as more labs are brought on to sequence virus samples and track variants. I'll bet it will. I'm sure this is the case all over the country, and the numbers nationwide aren't all that accurate. Florida leads again! So where is the data showing the mortality rate of this super duper deadly strain? Also: *The cases identified above are based on a sampling of SARS-CoV-2-positive specimens and do not represent the total number of B.1.1.7, B.1.351, and P.1 lineage cases that may be circulating in the United States and may not match numbers reported by states, territories, tribes, and local officials. LOL
Florida is that state with the highest level and most cases of COVID variants in the U.S. These variants are 30% more infectious and vaccines are less effective against them. Despite the DeSantis administration trying to hide the data on COVID variants in Florida; the governor was not able to stop some testing labs from reporting the test results on variants to the Federal government. It has become clear that Florida accounts for more than a third of variant cases in the U.S. and the number is rising rapidly every day in Florida. Somehow Ron DeSantis just wants to bury this problem and pretends it does not exist. SAD!
You would think that a reasonable governor would take steps to stop community spread of a highly infectious strain of COVID brought into his state.
Funny how none of this is showing up anywhere in the deaths. So I really don't care about conspiracies. If these variants are more deadly, show me where the data says this. If you're just quoting media soundbytes, forgive me but I'll pass. You've not been all that accurate in the past (the media hasn't, and being their mouthpiece hasn't suited you) so I don't expect that trend to change.
