I'm sure there is no waiting at all in any other state. Just Florida. Vaccine deployment going off without a hitch everywhere else.
Does any other state have elderly people lined up overnight outside in the elements --- only to be told the next day that no shots are available. Welcome to DeSantis' Florida.
Where did you give credit to DeSantis? Was it in this thread? Its a good thing Florida is number 1 in the lowest cases per 100 residents in Nursing Homes - per your AARP source. And number 5 in lowest deaths out of all states. And 2nd best in lowest number of cases of staff out of all states.
Outside in the "elements". LOL. you're such a tool, dude. All you have to do is google (your specialty) vaccine rollout problems and you'll see tons of article outside of Florida with problems.
So you are forcing elderly residents of Florida to wait overnight outside with temperatures in the 40s. What a great governor to abuse the state's elderly like this. Not to mention that these miserable elderly merely get told the next morning that no shots are available because donors & supporters of DeSantis and GOP are cutting to the front of the line to get them.
Did someone hold a gun to their head and make them wait outside in the "elements"? Do you have that article (I'm sure if there is one, you have it)? Who was it that was forcing them?
There are plenty of articles --- go read your local paper. Or take a look back in the thread. Here is just one of many examples - https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...-out-seniors-gets-off-rocky-start/4067324001/ You think that Florida would be intelligent enough to set up an appointment system for elderly people and not have them wait overnight in lines when the temperature is down in the 40s -- only to be told to come back later there is no vaccine.
I looked in your USA today article. I didn't see anything about someone forcing people to stand in line. Maybe this was more of your hyperbole? It said people chose to wait in line for a "first come, first serve" basis. Much like how people choose to wait in line for black friday specials which are - also - first come, first serve. By noon – two hours before the clinic was scheduled to begin vaccinations – the county Health Department tweeted the site had reached capacity. Only those already in line could be accommodated.
That DeSantis expects elderly people to wait in line overnight in the cold to get a vaccine shot is absurd. A simply appointment system can alleviate this problem.
Right, its DeSantis' fault because there are only so many vaccines and he put them out on a first come first serve basis, and more people showed up for them. Many other states are having problems with providing vaccines to everyone, and supply, etc. But DeSantis takes up so much rent-free space in your head. If he had done an appointment system, you'd be bitching about people "overloading the phone and internet lines" and unable to get an appointment. You're a turd, swimming at the bottom of the tabloid bowl.
