DeSantis is a serial liar. All to please trump. He said the rise in cases was because of testing Then when it became impossible to keep lying he admitted it was not He originally said the cases was high because a large number of cases came from MCO. Then when the airport CEO presented data that only two of the airport employees were sick, his office said they should have looked at the data more carefully Now he has gone to the same place where trump goes - racism. he says it is due to Hispanic workers. everyone knows harvest season happened many weeks back. Just another lie from this moron trying to put up a good face for trump. He instructs hospitals to underreport ICU bed utilization to make it look better. After all, in the trumpworld, all that matters is whether it gets ratings.
Someone sure sounds triggered. Can you please show me where he instructed hospitals to underreport ICU bed utilization? That is a big story.
Big spike on deaths today (today's data). You folks who are hoping for lots of deaths might get your wish. Though "big" is relative. Looks a lot like a catchup for some previous days.
This is not about "hoping' for deaths. This is about hoping that Florida adopts a proper public health policy and fixes their deliberate DeSantis administration fake COVID-19 data issues before the spread gets completely out of control in a state with a high retiree population.
Ah, I see. Lets say that suddenly GWB becomes governor of Florida. What does governor GWB do as of right this moment? Please be comprehensive. Also, I will grant you this - of all the people pushing a narrative - you are the only one not pushing a political one.
The first step in addressing the issue is to be transparent in the data. Collect correct data, be sure that all the state data sources are providing consistent data, and bring forward your data experts to handle any questions. This should be done in less than 72 hours... in other words quickly. Once you have the data correct then as governor you can address the public health policy issues based on the 5 principles of re-opening from a lockdown. Have consistent phase criteria for entering/exiting/back-tracking phases across the entire state. Having each city/county in Florida going in different policy directions simply is not helpful... unless there is some central control, coordination, and reasoning for different policies in different regions of the state. For example southern Florida has many cases and northern Florida does not.
Some of this is very general and easy to state in any situation: "Centralized policy response". But you've got the view from the cheap seats. You don't know what is going on in the governor's office. You suspect you do, but I doubt any of us does. At this point, would you - as governor GWB - reinstate a lockdown?
