*game show voice* Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen to our 3 week ending analysis on GWB's claim on how "2000 deaths over 20 days is likely once all deaths are uploaded to the site - which won't happen until three weeks from now" made more than three weeks ago on September 28. Remember, the period in question is from September 28 (when GWB felt he had to insert himself to defend UsualName's original claim here that stated over 2000 people died in the last three weeks in the state of Florida, and after it was pointed out these were reported deaths, not date of death). So how did GWB do in his latest forecast claim?? Lets do the math, shall we? Source data for deaths in Florida by Date of Death, provided by the Florida Department of Health. The total deaths during the 30 day period from 9/8 to 9/28 (the date of the claim)....drum roll...pahhleaasee.... *drum roll* 1179 *crowd groans* Oooohh...so sorry, GWB. But hey, you're only off by 41% or so. Although, by Price is Right rules, you'd have gone over. What do we have for him, Johnny??
Since Florida has stated it takes 6 to 8 weeks to update the death numbers by date.... you need to wait to the third week of November. By the way - "30 day period from 9/8 to 9/28" -- is a 21 day period not a 30 day period. You need to work on your calculations and date ranges.
Ah, so we're moving the goal posts again! How convenient for you! Lets wait until next year! That should help you. You said: Three weeks. And when your prognostication blows up in your face, you move to a month. Hahahaa.....what a clown.
Why don't you read all the other posts from me about Florida's delayed reporting.... and properly quote them. You really need to ask your state why they are unable to report and post COVID deaths in a reasonable period of time -- let's say two weeks --- but it takes them more than six weeks.
What do those have to do with your original claim of three weeks? Are you saying you were mistaken and shouldn't have said 3 weeks? Or are you saying you never said three weeks and that quote was from someone hacking your account?
Let's go back to what I stated on October 13th and in previous posts. "Since Florida is now taking 6 to 8 weeks to properly allocate reported deaths to deaths by date -- it will not be into November before we know the correct dates by death for September." https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/desantis-for-the-win.345108/page-176#post-5225249
So was your statement on September 28 where you said it was 3 weeks incorrect back then? Or did you adjust your time line to 6 to 8 weeks after you realized your previous prediction was in jeopardy? Don't dodge, GWB. Just answer the question. All you're doing is making this more difficult for yourself. Be a man and own up.
