This is what DeSantis said.... he clearly changed his tune a bit. DeSantis pivots on Covid-19 surge, says testing doesn't account for spike https://www.politico.com/states/flo...says-testing-doesnt-account-for-spike-1293901 Gov. Ron DeSantis acknowledged on Saturday that the rising number of new Covid-19 cases in Florida cannot be explained away by an increase in testing, and announced plans to step up enforcement of social distancing practices in bars and nightclubs. “Even with the testing increasing or being flat, the number of people testing positive is accelerating faster than that,” DeSantis told reporters during a briefing at the state Capitol. “You know that's evidence that there's transmission within those communities.” (More at above url)
I saw this article. But saying he has changed his tone a bit and said it isn't just due to increased testing and saying he said "the situation is out of control" are two very different things entirely.
Nah, not at all. I love it how you lefties say something someone else says is racist when you think it is, but then tell us what you said is or is not racist. So funny. You're the authority and everyone must respect that authority! Fall in line, Whitey!
This can't be, Jem! DeSantis said things are getting out of control in Florida! Or did he? Jem, if we don't have more people dying, how can we expect to blame Trump for all of this? I guess we can hope for more deaths - they might still materialize.
Can you explain to the Miami Herald and other local Florida media why obvious deaths in Florida from COVID-19 including the recent death of a 17 year old are not being counted in the data being presented from the governor's office. Something is very badly wrong with the DeSantis administration.
"There is nothing we can do to stop Covid, it's all up to you - Florida government to public" ‘Government itself can’t solve this problem’: Florida officials alarmed as virus rages The heightened urgency comes as the state saw its largest daily increase in new infections yet over the weekend. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/06/22/florida-politicians-coronavirus-surge-333611
I don't know. First, please show me the proof that these deaths are not being counted in the statistics, and then I'll need to have details of the deaths themselves to see whether I believe they should be counted. But happy to review it. Edit, just read this - from the Miami Herald: His death was counted by the state Friday, case line data shows. However, he is not listed in Friday’s pediatric COVID-19 report, which provides weekly statewide COVID-19 data on confirmed cases, hospitalizations and deaths in those under the age of 18. unless you have proof that there is something nefarious going on, I'm going to assume that - because pediatric cases of Covid don't normally result in death there was probably an issue in the way this data found its way to a fatality or something. But I doubt it was fraud. But it appears to be in the numbers. I'm guessing we won't get to find out if this kid had other pathologies that made him the first such kid to die from this in Florida.
