Explain to me what is not open? Businesses are open, schools are open, gatherings are unlimited in every city except for one. "Under the plan, maximum gathering sizes in Auckland will be increased from 10 to 100 on Wednesday and then caps removed two weeks after that."

Across the entire country "The number of active cases is 62, with 33 from community spread and 29 among quarantined returning travelers."

So the bars in Florida were only able to re-open at 50% capacity on Monday, September 14th. How is that "June 1st".

It is a shame that Florida is not more like New Zealand they could have opened everything at 100% if they did a proper lockdown with a phased re-opening.

Sure. Hospitals are not providing all elective surgery - this remains restricted and is dependent on priority.

Outpatient appointments are primarily over the phone (in office visits are still restricted).

Mental health services are primarily online or over the phone.

You make it sound like life is back to normal in New Zealand. It is not.

Because it was 25% capacity before that.

Gyms opened June 1, too. I know this because our dojo was allowed to open.

It is not a shame that Florida is not more like New Zealand. We're not sheep like those folks (and like you).

Your opinion. Mine (and many Floridians) think we are fine. I'm sure there are many who disagree. But that's what makes the grass grow. Differences of opinion.

What you're arguing is subjective in nature. Pure and simple.

So how many people died in Florida from COVID since June 1st? Florida is not doing "fine". Florida keeps hitting new records... there were 341 deaths reported today. Do you somehow believe that COVID is under control in Florida. It is not.

You act as if this is a one variable equation. It is not. it is not simply about the number of people who died. Even assuming (which is a BIG assumption) that the death count is accurate and not replete with false reporting, it isn't just about that one number.

If you could save 1 life and close the world for a year, would that be worth it? If you say yes, then you're a bigger jackass than I originally thought. If you say no, then it is a subjective number based on more than just one death (economic impact, loss of life from other causes like depression, etc).

So you can't just say "people died, so Florida made a mistake".

You also can't compare Florida to Canada, right? Because you told us you can't compare Sweden to any other country other than the countries right next door. You told us that how many times?

So do us a favor and stop making stupid posts and maybe go make a TikTok video where folks might actually believe stuff you say.

Oh, and those 341 people didn't die today. Or even yesterday. Or even last week. So give it a rest. That bullshit was called out months ago.

No subjective at all. The death counts don't lie. At one point this year, you were arguing the infection rates in Florida didn't matter because the daily death rates were supposedly capped at 40-50 a day. Months later you are still putting up 170++ on many days.

I never said they lie. I also agree, death counts are the most important statistic.

Death counts by date of death and not reported date.

    Big difference.

You need to note what is written under the chart. Basically the last two weeks of data are useless as a measure of anything.
