You have to hand it to DeSantis . . . . . . ‘Words can’t explain how I feel.’ Florida felons vote for first time since rights restoration MIAMI — Deshaun Jones couldn’t sleep Monday night. Anticipation gnawed at her insides as she went on the internet, researching and evaluating candidates. The very next day the 44-year-old social worker would do something that she hadn’t done in more than a decade: She voted. Jones was among several felons who joined the Circle of Brotherhood, a nonprofit that encourages Black men to be community leaders, in marching to the polls for early voting on Tuesday. The demonstration took place in Brownsville and encouraged everyone in earshot to not take voting for granted.
Nothing in there concerning death rate or hospitalization rate with or without mask. This wasn't even a nice try.
What are the results of implementing proper COVID policy base on science? North Carolina has a mask requirement and limits indoor/outdoor gatherings. North Carolina has half the population of Florida (10.5 Million versus 21.5 million). However,, as of Sunday, we have only one quarter of COVID cases (135,000 versus 527,000) and one quarter of COVID deaths (2,184 versus 8,108). Florida had 8109 hospitalizations versus 1109 hospitalizations in North Carolina. So the bottom line is that the COVID response in North Carolina with a mask requirement and limiting indoor gatherings has been much more effective than Florida.
Please provide evidence where not wearing masks has increased the rate of death and hospitalizations. You've no clue how individuals contracted Kung Flu in either state. In fact, you state that there is a mask mandate in NC, yet they still had cases. Ridiculous logic.
North Carolina has fewer cases, hospitalizations, and deaths from COVID on a per capita basis due to a mask mandate and limited indoor/outdoor gatherings. A mask mandate does not eliminate cases; it greatly reduces cases.
