  4. It is a non-government "advisory" board. They can't make any changes. Government employees cannot be fired except in cases of conduct or documented performance deficiencies, except through the long process of "reduction in force" and even then they are usually offered other positions. It is likely to accomplish very little. Trump will run the country like his businesses. Badly.

No, spin NASA off to merge with SpaceX so Musk can now own both.

  6. It feels like the last chance to do something before we implode from the debt burden.

I will believe it though when I see it. If I had to make a prediction, 4 years from now nothing is much different besides we are 40+ trillion in debt.

To continue. I'm seeing lots of excitement on Twitter from people suggesting that American wages will go up once they do the whole round of deportations.

So as with my previous analysis, on the surface, this sounds great. But let's not forget what happened in California when they raised the minimum wage for fast food workers. Many of these establishments have to close because the businesses just couldn't support pain $20 per hour.

I'm not on the side of the corporations, and I certainly would love to see people enjoy a higher quality of life and higher wages, but businesses will simply not be able to be profitable if they have to pay staff more.

The word that Baron used, homeostasis, is precisely the key element here. Drastic cuts to government spending, and a sudden shock to the labor pool which increases worker wages, is going to lead to major negative consequences, even if it becomes eventually positive overall.
