The school system in IL is clearly a complete failure. Just look at all these liberals that cannot read at grade level. No wonder they keep voting for dems.
And nearly every single one of these low performing listed schools are charter schools — an alternative heavily supported by conservatives which takes money away from public schools. It’s sad how for-profit charter schools, private schools (via vouchers), and religious schools have ripped off taxpayers for millions of dollars while greatly underperforming public schools.
