Um you got that right. Shut down buying Canada's oil and well you said it.......Me thinks Canada don't want to and cannot to afford lose USA market. Best make haste and cave in at least some...LOL.
Also remember it was the liberals that wanted to shut down the pipeline not Mr T.

Canada should embrace MR T. Please try to understand his disturbing rhetoric is part and partial with negotiating strategy. There is no way in sam hell Canada is going to become part of the USA. So relax. He is just goading you guys. We are not going to try and take over Canada and if Canada were invaded we would defend her with our blood. And you guys know that.

Canada's not going to run out of Oil. Per capita we have more of it than you do. Capitalism says your producers are often low margin mediocre producers like the US shale guys. In fact, when one Canadian operation bought a US operation, the market smashed their stock.

You'll need those reserves because you consume a ton of it. Trump wants to slap a 25% tax on the cost of heavy Oil that you already got pipelines built for and built refineries that employ a lot of people. 60% of your Oil imports are from Canada. Go ahead, buy that Oil at a higher cost from other nations lol, and close those refineries. Or ask your more mediocre producers to drill more expensive sources at a higher cost. Go ahead man see what happens to the price of gas in huge chunks of your country. And watch as consumers and employees complain.

We've seen this story before. Lumber tariffs didn't go well for the US for example. Another Trump project lol, like his glorious Wall.

Canada can shutter it's Oil a lot longer then the US can deal with it. It just takes the politicians to have the balls to do it. I could go over the economics of the firms but many of them have no debt now they can outlast any bs. Alberta govt can whine all they want Ontario/Quebec don't give a shit. On the same subject if Ontario shuts down or hikes prices on all electricity exports and all car parts it'll severely disrupt American business in numerous states.

You are underestimating Canada's resolve here. So is Trump. We'd rather take a little austerity then give in to the asshole. Trudeau never understood this, and his ministers who did resigned rather then deal with the man anymore. Bottom line is you have more to lose than us, and both nations lose out in a trade war. You better get through to Trump before he fks it all up. We'll never embrace Trump and laugh at how gullible many Americans are believing in his bs.

You appear to be biased and apparently cannot face facts or think clearly. Ever since Trump came on the scene the World has accused him of being a dictator and a warmonger. He has done neither and in fact got us out of useless wars. As he will also get us out of the Ukraine mess and is on the road to solving the Gaza/Israel situation although Biden and the democrats want to take the credit. We have no business in Ukraine. We have no business in Nato or United Nations IMO. But that isn't for me to decide. I say let Europe and the rest of the world handle those issues.

TRUMP will be good for the USA although I find some of his rhetoric quite amusing and just have to laugh. But it seems like others cannot laugh. All they can do is dream up false scenarios and cry...

CANADA WILL CRY IF THEY LOSE USA MARKET. BUT I predict they won't. They will negotiate as will Trump.

He is not the dictator you Canadians think he is.

We won't lose any trade war. We cannot tolerate losing. It ain't in our American DNA.

Americans will cry if gas prices go up or employees lose jobs. It happened in term one. Most of Trump's projects failed the data doesn't lie. Biden for all his supposed issues was a more successful President. This time is different ? Sounds like a traders take on losing trade strategies.

You lose frequently to Canadians. There isn't an intelligent person in business, sports, or entertainment that would see a Canadian and expect an easy contest. Trump is a mediocre man who thinks he's intelligent, who parlayed his father's wealth into a career. Lucky however when he lost it all to get a restart through dubious loan sources and a gig in entertainment. Such is real estate, trading, gambling sometimes someone gets lucky but I really have no respect for what he represents and how he got there. Tony Soprano enters politics I guess.

It's a gamble for the US to entrust this to him. He's lucky he got gifted a strong economy to start his term but like his father's wealth he is capable of doing some damage.

Because we didn't build the refineries, and decided to partner up on a North/South trajectory rather then West/East within our borders. Mistake to trust Americans really. Nobody said our politicians were always smart, we are notoriously bad at infrastructure projects here.
