He is clearly qualified and has a great background. What he's not, is smooth. He's not a blue-collared guy like Fetterman either. It's the, would I like to have a beer with him question I'm most concerned about. The country is whiter than 60%. As we see, Democrats need to win PA, MI, and WI. They need to get back some blue-collared whites. As Hillary proved, they can't rely on educated/affluent whites and minorities. MD, like MA is a very blue state. They both ran Trump idiots to replace very popular moderate Republican governors. Biden won MD 65-32. I'm not surprised this guy beat one of them 60-37. It's kind of what you'd expect a generic Democrat to do in this state versus this clown. In MA it was 64-35 which went 66-32 for Biden. So very similar result. Nobody is calling Maura Healey a rising star. We are talking about the POTUS here. Democrats need to win by 4 points to win the Electoral College. Look at the past two Democrats who won the White House. Obama and Clinton. Does it get any smoother than those two? I guess he's got some time to work on it, but he's not going to be ready for 2024, that's for sure.
Not 2024.He and his resume is too perfect.I know the people behind the scenes are grooming him for 28 or 32.I think he will connect with whites just as well as Obama did.
He also had to make through a democratic primary. For him to go from no political experience ever straight to the governors mansion he had to have a lot of help from important and rich people within the party. They obviously see the the same thing I'm seeing. They are even fast tracking him more than they did Obama. They made Obama serve 2 local Senate terms before sending him to The US Senate. They sent this guy straight to Governor.
Wes Moore is a political neophyte but let’s see how he can run a state. Hogan was a fairly good governor so Moore isn’t walking in with much dysfunction. The reason I’m here is because I thought you were going to say Polis or maybe Shapiro. I was definitely surprised to see Wes Moore as the next Obama. Although, I do wish him well.
Polis is a popular charismatic governor. Maybe the best the Democrats have. However, I wonder if he could connect with black voters. He's also gay and I'm not sure the country is ready for a gay president. You have to give Laura Kelly credit as well. It's not easy for a Democrat to win statewide in Kansas these days. She's 72 though and I think Americans are ready for somebody younger.
The powers that be sending a political neophyte straight to the Governors mansion says a lot imo. He does have to do a good job but as you said Maryland is in good shape so its one of the best places to govern.
