Its has nice imagery but does not discuss the main player in filters, the triboelectric effect, two dissimilar materials rubbing to generate static charge. This is often the minimum two layers in a medical mask. In Africa (2nd time I lived there, years after the ranger stuff) a friend's kid had pollution sensitivities issues and I had to make decent filters similar to merv13 furnace filters. I achieved it by spray doping non-woven/blast spun polyurethane fabric with a common mineral.

Its an interesting area filter design. I have built a dozen different kinds of propotype filters. Of course a basic particle detector is needed however when you get a room down to a below 70 or so under 0.3um per cubic, you can literally just smell it, or the absence rather.

I have him on ignore, he claimed to have me on ignore so he should not see this but he repeats the same stuff over and over so I expect you are responding to Jem. Ask him to detail his plan to isolate the at risk, not in a generic you just do it way but as someone who has to actually do it would outline it.

He will demure and/or pivot. He has done that a dozen times or more, Jem is a troll.

This must be why numerous countries said mask wearing isn't effective or it isn't suggested.

You're constantly doing gymnastics because you're constantly dishonest. That's always your problem.

The CDC, surgeon general, etc. said don't use masks. The public didn't. Then all of a sudden it was about masks. And these are the experts we are supposed to listen to.

That's why people don't follow the bullshit. Because its been found to be bullshit so many times that when it is actually true, no one believes it. Boy who cried Mask.

The CDC corrected itself, even in a half-assed way. The "public" (let's be honest, it's MAGAtards) don't listen because they're in a cult and dear leader says don't wear a mask. Same shit w/the shutdowns, same shit will be w/the vaccine.

The surgeon general is a pushover partisan clown and no one should be listening to him. Blame the person who appointed him, not the post.

Something that I have considered and believe in a sane country would be addressed by governments is the effect of humidity on surgical masks. The tribolelectric static effect diminishes the more humid it gets, they can handle a surprising amount, have to because of breath but they can get swamped. AC of course will remediate this indoors but in a lot of the south its something to bear in mind.

Polycarbonate mix non-woven cloth, which will not absorb water relative to polyurethane is superior in damp. Its also possible to add copper in a gel form as is being done in the UK by a new company, this efficiently kills virus trapped in the mask so less issue with contact transfer.

Does not excuse Florida, they are just the stupid state.

Covid spread is an engineering problem, it needs to be framed as such with appropriate experts.

Maybe you actually need to go read the actual statements from the CDC while understanding the difference between non-surgical masks and masks designed from hospital / industrial use.

No, I don't need to re-read them again. It was quite clear they flip flopped to everyone except for the few, like yourself, making excuses.

I understand the CDC corrected itself. Or that it originally lied (as you originally said).

What I am saying is why should we trust an "expert" group that has been wrong before, or has lied before?

    with what does she disagree?

Opinions about remedies may differ but our mayor in San Diego stated that
there is no evidence of spread in playgrounds. I heard others echo the same statement.

If you DR gf has data... I would love to see it.
