Obama restated his opinion many times during the campaign.

Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, one of the most prominent Democrats in the 2008 presidential field, proposed for the first time setting a deadline for withdrawing troops from Iraq, as part of a broader plan aimed at bolstering the freshman senator's foreign policy credentials.

Obama's legislation, offered on the Senate floor last night, would remove all combat brigades from Iraq by March 31, 2008. The date falls within the parameters offered by the bipartisan Iraq Study Group, which recommended the removal of combat troops by the first quarter of next year.

Landis, I don't understand why you spin it all to maximize Obama.
Do you really believe in the policies of Obama or is it just still an anti-Bush sentiment.

  2. Actually, its you that are the big-time "spinner" Mercor. Otherwise, why would you post the article that you posted above?

You just can't stomach the FACT that Bush developed a "security agreement" LAST YEAR with the Iraqi's that would have the U.S. military out of Iraq by 2011, and out of Iraqi cities by June 30th, 2009.

You just can't accept that, can you?

The article I posted was a story of fact about legislation Obama introduce into the senate.

It proved that you guilty of by omission. Obama had many opinions of Iraq withdrawl. His opinion changed with the success of the Surge. At the end of the Presidental campaign he was at 16 month withdrawl.
    You spin!
You seem to be a good trader why you think Obama's policies will help your business?

  4. Did it ever occur to you that Obama's opinion had to wind-up coinciding with the Bush "Security Agreement" that the Iraqi Parliament signed into law back in November - - - otherwise it would hold no relevance?

Probably not, because you seemed totally oblivious to the "Security Agreement" that the Bush Administration developed under General David Petraeus.

How is it that you are unable to fathom any of that? Is it because you are so terribly uninformed, just like your buddy Nickie Leeson?

Your logic is so absolutely "twisted" that all you do is continue to throw crap up against the wall and look for something to "stick" . . . As a result, you come across as one of the more ignorant posters on this board.

Are you even aware that the House Bill that the OP posted adds $4.8 billion for MRAP-All Terrain Vehicles for maneuvering around the rough terrain of Afghanistan?

Are you even aware that the House bill also adds $2.2 billion for 8 new C-17's, and another $904 million for 11 new C-130 planes, moving the Obama Administration's recommended buy from FY-2010 to the current fiscal year?

Are you aware that the House Supplemental also requests $340 million to buy 260 more Stryker vehicles?

Do you even have a clue about how "depleted" our military equipment is and what kind of "reset" is necessary just to get our military readiness back to where it should be?

I'm sorry buddy, but you are talking to someone that actually knows what they are talking about when it comes to the DoD and their budget.

You really need to educate yourself first before talking to me about anything close to having to do with the U.S. military.

Otherwise, you continue to come across with your typical uneducated BS.
