    The challenge for healthcare in the USA is due to our massive poor population. Millions of people unemployed, undocumented immigrants and sheer size.

    Costs are high also due to malpractice costs, the USA has many people suing doctors and hospitals.

    VERY different demographics and cost structure vs small countries.

    "Americans dying b/c they can't afford medical care?" Low income people get govt sponsored Medicaid. Any American can apply for govt health care aid program. If govt thinks some people don't qualify for govt aid, then why can't proponents of socialist healthcare hire doctors to treat these outliers? Just what Europe does for the entire population. No need for a total overhaul, underpaid doctors and elimination of the entire insurance industry and tax revenues that come with it https://www.kff.org/other/state-indicator/total-population/?currentTimeframe=0&sortModel={"colId":"Location","sort":"asc"}
    Doctors getting underpaid will lead in a domino effect to lower income for every American across the board. And I would never trust the biased Guardian reporting on US politics and economy.

    You are lucky that Trump cancelled the healthcare program from Obama.
    Trump corrected the mistake that Obama made. :D

    In the first half of 2019, approximately 30.9 million people in the United States had no health insurance. The share of Americans without health insurance was steadily decreasing until 2015, but has been increasing since 2017. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 caused this change, because it repealed the individual mandate, which penalized individuals for failing to maintain health coverage.

    In 2017 it started to increase again. Who was President at that time? Trump.

    Are you a doctor? Sounds like it.

    We have one of the best healthcare systems in the world. At least at that point the US is not the best country in the world.
    Our doctors are not underpaid. They make a few thousand dollars a day.
    Your doctors are over paid.

    They are not "underpaid" b/c if the govt decided their wages it should be it? American doctors are not get "paid" by the authority. They can be neither underpaid nor overpaid.

    Doctors are free to ask what they wish. The government has no power to limit the income of the doctors. Doctors have no salary, they are self employed.

    Republicans, Not Biden, Are About to Raise Your Taxes
    President Trump built in tax increases beginning in 2021, for nearly everyone but those at the very top.

    he law they passed initiallylowered taxes for most Americans, but it built in automatic, stepped taxincreases every two years that begin in 2021 and that by 2027 would affect nearly everyone but people at the top of the economic hierarchy. All taxpayer income groups with incomes of $75,000 and under — that’s about 65 percent of taxpayers — will face a higher tax rate in 2027 than in 2019.
