The only thing witholding me to try it out is lack of Python or REST API. C++ is great, but as long as retail isn't competing in HFT or very low latency, it doesn't make much sense.
We rely on third-party software from Sterling Trader Tech (STT), Eze EMS and the CBOE. We recently sold our Lime Gateway which was an OS agnostic API with a hosted solution for HFT. I'm hoping in 2021 we offer an OS agnostic simple API for those that do not want to use a WIN OS. To me, whatever you create your code in is not as important as you should be able to create a bridge to the C++ or C#.NET library for sending orders. That said, our desktop options are a great resource for active traders that are either manual or automated. My clients that move the Lightspeed Trader are telling me how amazed they are at the speed of execution.
