at the moment i am using high leverage in demo account , try to ensure the risk ratio , its very supportive to avoid unfortunate risk and losses before live trading.
There are so many different opinions about demo accounts among traders. SOme people say that there is no use in demo accounts for the newbies because it is impossible to learn something about trading using fake money. Other people claim that they learned a lot from demo account and it is a till good tool to learn forex. As for me, I do really think that demo can be useful but in some other sense. I believe that demo account can be used in order to get used to the new trading platform. I am not talking about newbies here but about everyone who is new to this or that platform. Sometimes it drives me mad when I need to do the deal but I cannot find the right button to press. Demo account can be used in order to makethe trading process nearly automatic, so there will be no need for you to browse through the tabs and options for the thing you need. I also support the idea that it is impossible to learn trading using demo: there is no pressure, no slippages and the feelings are not the same, so, once you got used to the platform, then only fund your account.
but this kind of experience actually works when trading in a real account ? any experienced have you faced ?
Demo is a very nice option for the newcomers to trading as it helps newbies orient in forex platforms and it shows them the fundamental logics of how the trades are operated and executed. Demo account is also valuable for those who want to implement new trading strategy and is eager to know whether this strategy works or not. More than that, some people change trading platforms and need some practice in order to get used to the new realia of trading. There are some pecularities which each platform has concerning setting stop-losses or take profits or adding some indicators or drawing the lines on charts or something else. A trader needs to do everything fast and accurately during the trading sessions, so he/she needs some practice. However, more often than not, some people use demo accounts for too long which has lots of drawbacks. The most widespread obstacle they face is loss of motivation. They keep trading virtual money without getting the real profit and experience from trading. It is fine if you earned 15K imaginary dollars, but what will you do with this money? Nothing. That is why I advise newbies not to use demo accounts for too long. Once you get used to the platform, make a real account. You can deposit some small sum of money but it will be different from trading on demo account and more useful for your trading experience.
Starting out on a demo account it the best thing to do as a beginner in forex. It helps you get used to how things work, and at the same timeyou are not risking actual real money. You also get more trained from a psychological point of view to a certain extent. Obviosuly you are not going to feel fearsome as a real trade would make you be but trading on a demo account still helps.
beginners always try to skip demo account but this is the master place to become a knowledgeable trader.
Well yes 100% agree to that The best use of demo accounts are to check the brokers spreads and commissions, understand how to execute trades and close them ( basically all the beginner tasks ) once you understand the markets and start trading its a huge different not only with the lag that triggers you into your trade but also on the emotions side When you say trading is 80% emotions demo accounts give you hardly 2% of the emotion understandings Its best to move on to a live account as soon a you get two grips with mt4, even if the capital is 100$. its best to keep it on a real account.
Demo account also useful to backtesting any new trading software, when a trader found good trading software before used in real account, a demo account will become first screening to learn how trading software work, if working well at least make then the confidence to use in real account.
