Also better to look for a broker that lets you demo trade for a long time and doesn't restrict it for a month or so.
I think rarely any broker has restriction on demo time, with almost every broker you can use demo for unlimited time. It might get deactivated or disabled if not used for a long time, happened with me (turnkey forex) but you can always reactivate or can create a new one.
What if the demo account deactivated/disabled or wiped out.. who cares, they are always free and we can open many whenever needed.
[QUOTE="Danielle Davidson, post: 4191320, member: 490182" ] "the time you trigger your trade, and the moment it actually reaches the bank on the other side of your Forex trade". True ECN trading" Do you think your trading thru an ECN with other traders, banks and institutions on the Interbank exchange? your not. The minimum account size to trade on the interbank exchange is 10 million! Has everyone forgotten that Forex trading is an on line gaming platform. Its simulated. The charts arent real. The market movement isnt real. It moves in response to your trading. Your trading against a computer program! Not with other traders. Go on the CFTC website and read for yourself. Forex is traded OFF exchange. Your counter party is your broker. I confirmed this with the CFTC about 2 weeks ago.
Yes demo is best way, started of with demo and then entered live and learned more and use the strategy from demo in live and gained some profit.
Demo is good to start off with but do not spend to much time in demo cause demo and live as different emotions and trading differs
I agree, demo is good to know the basic technicalities and working, but emotions come into play only when real money is at stake.
Yes, emotions do matter but till you aware of trading and feel that you have the knowledge to start that is when its good to start live till that demo is the best and only option.
