demo and live difference

  1. demo account is pretty much just for learning and testing strategy. Live trading is when you can accurately test trading condition of a broker cause alot of broker use a separate server for demo so trading condition might not be 100% the same as live.

  3. Simply put, the difference between demo and live is that in the demo, no real money is involved, whereas, in live, you trade with real money. A demo account is a good way to practice trading, but when trading live, you must be cautious.

With live account you lose money now and with demo you're just delaying the inevitable.

  5. Trading on a demo account help you to understand Forex market changes & in creating your own trading style. Once you feel confident enough you can go with live account.

In my opinion, the main difference between demo and real accounts is psychological, but it is beneficial to become acquainted with the broker's platform and test your strategy.

  8. Demo accounts are mostly used for learning and strategy testing. Real trading is the only way to accurately test a broker's trading conditions because many brokers use a different server for demos, which means that live trading conditions might not be exactly the same as demos.

Different results can be primarily due to the emotional component in trading. On a demo account, a trader does not risk real money and emotions such as fear or greed are mostly absent and do not affect the results of trading. But when a trader starts trading on a real account, he risks his own money. Emotions such as fear of losing money or greed when opening positions begin to influence his decisions and lead to completely different results. Therefore, it is better not to risk large deposits immediately when switching from a demo account to a real account and first learn to cope with the psychological component in trading on a small real account (for example, my broker fxopen has the opportunity to open a small full-fledged ECN account, starting with only $ 100).
