I would say first start with a demo account and once traded it for as little as six months we should move forward to other live trading account either it is micro or regular one.
In my initial stage of trading I didn’t use any micro type trading account; I started my trading career by demo as like others newbie! I basically used my practice account for a long period of time to learn the facts of technical & fundamental trading! I think, demo is enough if you are serious on your learning part!
Demo is a waste of time specially for experienced traders. Only a few firms offer live accounts straight away.. I'm on Audacity Capital's Funded Trader Program. I've started with $15K and so far it's progressive
Exotics comes up with low liquidity and high spreads in my opinion. However those who wish to trade should trade at their own risk.
For newbies without any trading experience, I suggest trading with a demo account because it has no real risk or capital involved in it. For beginners looking for live experience, the micro account is a good choice because the risk and invested money in the trade are lower and easily recoverable.
