At the same time, labels and political philosophies can be very incongruent. For example there are many people who consider themselves "liberals" who want more or less flat income taxes. Also, many in academia are pressured into calling themselves "liberal". As our resident physicists,who are conservatives, have told us, "conservative" is a dirty word in many spheres of academia. To call oneself a conservative in those circles would be vocational suicide.
Hell even if I give liberals the benefit of the doubt and assume they are more intelligent, how come the best ideas they come up with sound like something out of gilligan's island , Get smart or something homer simpson said? Kinda like the age old question if you are so smart why aren't you rich? If liberals are so smart why are all of their ideas so stupid?
There is a large tail of abnormal people within the population of liberals. So I guess your conclusion would be that liberals are not normal.
