Surely your argument has more teeth than that?... You've made a statement out of context which smacks of slander. You make it sound like I've been ranting, "Vostro is the greatest for everybody.. buy Vostro", and you know I never said that. I've got a Vostro, so it's OK... especially for 1-2 monitors. Some have said they can't get an Nvidia NVS 440 quad to run on it... others have said they've had trouble running a 2nd video card... but for 1-2 monitors and if you need ony 2 PCI slots, it's OK. And it DOES have a cheapo mobo (as do the Inspirons + most of the OEM computers from HP, Compaq, Gateway, etc)... if you want to save money, you go with that. If not, you move up to another for $500 or so more money.
The D9200/XPS 410 is no longer available... closest is the XPS 420.... and making reasonable adjustment for hardware differences... an equivalent, new XPS 420 would cost about $950.
