I am looking to purchase a New Dell PC in the next few weeks.I have spoken to a Dell Rep twice so far and have managed to get a 20% Discount of the listed price on their Internet Site, has anyone managed to get a similar discount and use a coupon as well or am I trying to push my luck to far,

  8. you must be a pretty persuasive customer, i tried to get more than the 15% coupon discount on a d600 latitude, but didn't want to wait for a response on my escalated request so i went ahead and made the order.

tried to change part of my order this afternoon and got some serious runaround and frustrating indifference. took 4 calls before someone could adjust my order over the phone and retain the 15% coupon. The first 3 I spoke with told me to cancel and resubmit online and that I would probably lose the coupon and there was nothing they could do. reminded me of dealing with the phone company. feels like the gears totally shift once you're a submitted order and no longer a potential sale.

Vanilla 20% discounts sounds good but you have to take into account the profit they are making, which they dont want to lose to 1 of there competitors.I would like to know the exact mark up.
I bet even if I got a 25% discount they would still be making 100% profit maybe more.
