Yep. After a year of research I think I got the bang for the buck no doubt! There are just so many bonuses with these monitors its not even funny. In a few years when LCD monitors get cheaper and better tech I will just move these into other rooms and use them as TV's with their 1080I compatibility.
The answer to that would be... you're damn straight! Most guys here probabably don't care, but I personally wouldn't mind looking at the prancing horse all day long. I assume the emblem on the Acer is Ferrari approved with the right colours and maybe even the right substance, i.e. depth and same applique, etc.
Just got a Dell 24" and a Dell 30"...wouldn't give them back at gunpoint. This is a world of difference. Totally worth the cost and I was smart enough to buy them end of year and get the write-off! Totally worth it...could possibly use another 24" but I only trade 4-6 stocks at a time so this is sufficient for now!
The 30" rocks. I got it on Friday, and the thing is amazing. I played around with the settings, and dialed it in. It's pretty comfortable on the eyes. I've also cranked up the font size since I have it on 1920x1080. My previous was a 19", so it's a big jump. I also got Nvidia's 7600GS. I played counterstrike on it, and it looks amazing. oh yeah, I also traded with it today. It's nice to have that extra real estate to play with. I see everything I need without having to toggle. Can't wait to add the other 5 panels when the stand parts all get here.
What's the native resolution....I thought it was 2560 x 1600...and if so...doesn't running it at less then that create a less then ideal picture? I have 24's and if I go anything other then 1920 x 1200, the picture isn't' nearly as good....but then again, the picture is awesome, so anything less then that bothers me.
Copernicus, The auction had ended by the time you posted. If you search for gateway monitors on Ebay the guy puts up big lots normally once a month. I just order his last 2 he had for this batch. Now, I probably have to much real estate.
