Dell 2005fpw

Discussion in 'Hardware' started by Trend Fader, Jun 22, 2005.

  1. There are 2001fp dell monitors on sale for $561 and refurbished 2005fp for 498.

    1. Which is a better monitor?

    2. Are the warranties different on refurb's than new ones?(bad pixels, etc)

I can't find the warranty information on refurbs, the only difference I see is the return policy of 14 days on refurbs and a little longer on new ones. Thanks

  4. Does it meet TCO 03 or 99 emission standard?

  5. Warranty is of extreme importance, so you will have to be very sure before buying. I'm surprised there at 2001FP's still available. There is fundamentally no real difference between the two for trading. I would personally buy new for that small a price difference.

  6. If you can't fix it, I'll give you $200.00 for it.

i have the 2005fpw, 2001fp and 1905fp. the 2005fpw is the brightest - much brighter than the 1905. 2001fp's are much better for my trading eyes. Plus, you have more real estate.

  8. funnyman , if u were to pick 1 would u pick the 2001fp 20.1 inches or the newer 2005fp 20.1?

I assume you are alluding to the higher resolution of the 20's over the 19 inches when you mean "more real estate" correct? But is that not extra real estate at the expense of having really small fonts? Thanks

for a trader who spends 8-10 hrs a day in front of a screen, i would strongly suggest the 2001fp.

i use the highest resolution for the 2001fp and 2005fpw. The 2001fp offers more real estate on the 1600x1200 res. the 1905 only offers 1280x1024, i only use these for monitors mounted on the higher level so that i can read them easier.
