I can explain it...once wrote a paper (10 pages) about it in an anthropology class. Simply, I don't have time to explain something so obvious that has thousands of websites explaining such that you know you can easily look up on your own and enjoy any particular definition you want. wrote
Last time i expounded on the subject i suggested everyone has their own definition. Seems you agree? I was just hoping you could explain it so we can legislate laws against it. We need to legislate against it, if it's as bad as you say it is. It's so bad, we should know exactly what it is. Meanwhile, something to ponder.
Only reason I ask is we need to know how many racists are in this forum. Meanwhile here's a YouTube of a family in a Mississippi trailer park that is teaching their daughter to count how many racists are in a typical family in the trailer park Clue: The mother is a racist. The father is a racist. They have four daughters who are racist, each of whom have a racist brother . How many racists are in the family (not to mention the trailer park)?
I know you're being sarcastic. Yet, just in case you're not and didn't know there are laws against racism all over the world that fall into the "anti-discrimination"... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_anti-discrimination_acts My point, once again...its easy to look up on the internet. wrbtrader
I am against cancel culture. One of the things I respect about ET is that you are free to speak your mind. If others disagreed or are offended they can 1. just not read posts on certain topics 2. debate - provide counter arguments to what they find to be untrue or offensive There is nothing wrong with being a racist. We all are. With respect to the term racist, I define it to be - One who prefers his own kind. Be proud of who you are and tell others why you are proud.
In today’s social narrative, a white person who hates a black person is considered a racist. The question being asked, is a black person who hates a white person racist? When we can say a person who hates another is bad, regardless of the color of their skin, maybe we’ll make some progress.
That question has already been answered elsewhere here at ET... A Latino person can be a racist, Black person can be a racist, White person can be racist, Minorities can be a racist, country to country...anybody of any ethnicity can be a racist, anybody can discriminate for any reason and any country can violate the human rights of their citizens or of other countries. Yet, that wasn't the question being asked by the person that wanted a definition as if it can shed light on the number of racists at this forum or legislate laws against racism that already exist under anti-discrimination. Interesting that the latter above mentioned countries...United States is not listed in the top 10 (Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Australia). The above countries mentioned... They are countries that embrace human rights as worries grow over the erosion of civil rights in the global war on Coronavirus / Covid-19. That's why there are anti-discrimination laws / civil rights laws in most countries of the world in comparison to 60 years ago. That's a ton of progress in my opinion but the United States needs to catch up with other countries leading the way for equality. Here's the thing, its an issue beyond racism which is one of the primary issues the United States lag the above mentioned countries. In my opinion, its the reason why there's so much social / civil unrest in the United States. Covid-19 exposed a lot of cracks in societies that's beyond racism. It's one of the primary reasons why I left the United States to raise my family elsewhere although I still maintain property / residence in the United States and France. Friends & Relatives initially question my decision many years ago...no longer since my illness in 2016 and what's occurring in today's societies in 2020. No country is perfect but I think I made a good decision. wrbtrader
You left but you still want to have a say it how the country operates. You're like the guy to ends a relationship but still wants to know what the old girlfriend is up to. You tell yourself she wasn't right for you, but it's likely you weren't right for her as well. I will give you credit for actually leaving, unlike so many lefties who "threaten" to leave but never do. Sounds like the breakup was good for you. Somehow We'll survive without you or your now meaningless opinions.
