I am very aware of what Apartheid was. I provided the definition of it. Yes, it is the definition pushed by conservatives. The term “Apartheid” itself is focused on “separation”. I don’t really believe that Affirmative Action and Apartheid are the same thing. However people should be very aware of the parallels when they push D.E.I. or Affirmative Action government policies.
True equality is pure fabrication. It is literally impossible. There is not one person in the world that is equal to another person. Whether we like it or not, competition is part of human nature. Not everyone is equal. That is impossible because we are not the same. Individually, we don't have the same DNA, muscle structure, IQ, bone structure, etc. You want something in life - fucking compete for it. Stop whining like a little bitch.
Thanks to the internet, education is essentially free. In the US, anyone can access a wealth of knowledge online at no cost. Why not use that access to learn a new skill, design an invention, and launch a company? The only true barriers are your determination and willpower. Literally, anyone can do this. It takes very little money.
This student, Sahli Negassi, with perfect SAT scores and top grades got into Harvard based on his academic merit. Unfortunately other black students with marginal academic merit were admitted to Harvard due to DEI in its admissions process. Sadly due to this -- many people will simply assume that Sahli Negassi was admitted due to DEI rather than his top academic merit. This is how DEI undermines entire communities of people it is supposed to help. Time to move to an admissions process based on merit, equality and colorblindness.
If this was a colorblindness nation I would agree. As qualified as Sahli Negassi is he would have little chance of being a Trump or other Republican intern because of the color of his skin.
You are correct that our nation still has significant issues with colorblindness. Prejudice against minorities is still widespread.
Lets' say an marginal academic merit record for admission into Harvard. As outline previously, blacks have gotten into Harvard and other top colleges with significantly lower SAT scores, GPAs, and achievements than people of other races applying.
Post a source of a Black or Brown student getting into Harvard with a GPA less than 3.5 unless they are an athlete or have some kind expert skill at an extracurricular activity.
