  2. harvard..

    54,000 applications

    1,970 admitted

All of those people who were not admitted were obviously disccriminated against and at least 30,000 should have been accepted according to GWU amirite?

Every white person not in the 1,970 has a class action lawsuit because GWU says everyone who is worthy should be admitted and a 4.3/35 ACT is factually better than a 4.2/34 ACT because....stupidity.

Lots of geniuses not accepted into Harvard or the Ivys. Its called.....life.

You do realize there are many colleges in the the University of California system. This student was rejected from all of them -- including ones he was greatly over-qualified for. Tell me how that works in context of a university system which is prohibited by law from basing admissions decisions based on race -- but in this situation once again somehow did. Now the U of C university system is being sued by a coalition (SWORD, Students Who Oppose Racial Discrimination) of Asian students and their families who experienced this exact problem. This student is just the lead example plaintiff in the case. IMO when the discovery process is completed -- the U of C system is screwed.

Let's catch-up with the latest corporation to drop DEI.

Citigroup axes DEI goals, makes major change on job interviews
    https://nypost.com/2025/02/20/busin...i-goals-makes-major-change-on-job-interviews/

Citigroup will no longer require a diverse slate of candidates for job interviews, its CEO said in a memo on Thursday, as corporate America contends with a new business climate under President Trump.

The bank will not have “aspirational representation goals” except as required by local law, CEO Jane Fraser said. It will also change the name of the “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Talent Management” team to “Talent Management and Engagement.”

Since taking office, Trump has attempted to dismantle diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs in the federal government and the private sector. In response, several major companies are scaling back their diversity commitments.

Citigroup will not have “aspirational representation goals” except as required by local law, CEO Jane Fraser said.

Earlier this month, Goldman Sachs canceled a four-year-old policy of exclusively taking public companies with at least two diverse board members.

Wall Street has long grappled with diversity challenges. But even before Trump took office, some big corporations were already facing pressure from conservative groups to scale back their DEI policies.

“It is important to note that we’re living in an environment where things are changing quickly,” Fraser wrote, adding that the bank will still encourage “the best practice of having a variety of perspectives included in hiring decisions.”

  5. You are lying on the story so you are not trustworthy... look below..many schools rejected him so there was something flagged.. you saying an asian was discriminated against when many of those schools have large Asian populations..

Zhong was rejected by: Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Caltech, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell University, Georgia Tech, MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, University of Illinois, University of Michigan, University of Washington and University of Wisconsin.

You have no credibility on this issue.. and he got into U of Texas out of stste...that is impossible.... so stop the bullshit

There are plenty of available news stories you can read about this particular case. Feel free to go read them. The suit is against the University of California system as the primary target since the U of C system by state law has clear requirements not to consider race in the admissions process. To be denied by all the larger U of C schools demonstrates something is clearly astray in the admissions process. I expect the discovery process will bring out some very interesting disclosures. Recognize that this particular student, Stanley Zhong, is just one of many involved in the suit -- this is a wide-ranging problem with the U of C systems with many highly qualified Asian students denied admission. This particular student simply got the most media exposure over the others -- since it is such an extreme admissions failure. We will just wait and see how the entire legal situation works out.

I think that DEI is a movement which is firmly in the rear view mirror.

Time to move on to the next thing. Can I recommend Equality, Merit, and Colorblindness (EMC).
