The FBI was involved in New Orleans, didn't you see the video of the black special agent with a nose ring saying it wasn't an act of terrorism before her superiors corrected her?
I agree that MAGA Republicans who are pushing the narrative that Americans died in New Orleans due to the FBI are shoveling nonsense. The issue that exposed DEI problems within the FBI was the press conference where the out-of-touch FBI supervisor tried to state the attack was not terrorism when the FBI had already announced it was being investigated as terrorism. Many people claimed this woman was a DEI hire -- and they were quite possibly correct about this. Hence the pressure in Washington for the FBI to focus on competence rather than DEI -- quite rightfully. If J. Edgar Hoover could see what the FBI has become today, he would probably be rolling in his grave.
Just because she was a woman she was a DEI hire? seriously now you question every woman or minority in a position? She was.told what to say. FBI mixed up the message itselt...dont.jump on the messenger because it was a woman...
Go watch the press conference. There is a lot more wrong with the fumbling press conference than screwing up the question if this was a terrorist attack. Do you believe this woman is a good representative of the FBI?
We also have Trump spouting off stuff adding pressure to the FBI to remove all traces of DEI in their organization. Trump wants their records to be preserved (they are probably shredding them right now) showing if hiring and promotion decisions were done on the basis of competency rather than diversity. Something many Americans would support in regards to the spending of their taxpayer money being paid as civil servant salaries -- even if they don't support Trump (which clearly I do not). 'Corruption!' Trump demands FBI retain 'all records' of shuttered diversity office https://www.rawstory.com/fbi-trump-2670873982/
FBI is full of fucktards but go at the woman and claim DEI...comments like yours is qhy DEI ran amok....every person suddenly was labeled a DEI hire after a mistake. The bridge collapsed in Baltimore....DEI hires.. A lunatic drives through a crowd of people...DEI led to it ( like her say9ng not saying it was a terrorist attack changed the result)
This is a beautiful blend of DEI and fuck around and find out...love it when people are smacked with Karma haha https://nypost.com/2025/01/15/sports/eagles-fan-ryan-caldwell-breaks-silence-on-vile-video/
During my years in corporate America I have worked with many minorities including people of different races, gender, religions, etc. Many of these people were very competent, hard-working, smart, and excellent leaders. They were promoted because they deserved it. I enjoyed working with them and learned a lot by building workplace relationships with people from countries around the globe. However I also encountered a number of people simply promoted due to DEI policies; many were complete failures and undermined the work & focus of the corporation. I also worked with people who were told very directly that they were not promoted because a minority (DEI policy) had to fill the spot -- despite the individual being passed over being obviously the most qualified for the job. DEI policies in corporate America have taken off in recent years. I can certainly understand the need to make a corporation a meritocracy and overcome historic imbalances. Additionally I understand the preconceived biases people have which may hold minority employees back in the workplace. There is a need to focus on an inclusive workplace with clear & consistent performance guidelines where people are held accountable. This means that people in the workplace -- no matter their race, gender, religion, etc. -- need to be treated fairly and provided with opportunities to further their careers aligned with their performance and skills. Furthermore most executives in corporate America are white males. There should be an active effort to coach high-performing individuals who are minorities to fit into these management roles rather than possibly ignoring their potential due to bias. Let the most capable people get promoted rather than your golf buddies. IMO the people most hurt by DEI policies in the workplace are the minorities. It has reached the point where there is an immediate assumption that a minority individual achieved their job role due to DEI policies rather than the hard-work, brains, leadership and commitment they put into their career. "DEI hire" is not only a term used by non-minorities to describe others; in the workplace I have regularly heard minorities use it to describe under-performing individuals who appear to obviously been placed in a position due to DEI policies rather than skills. Additionally I will note that it would be very unwise for a white male in a corporate workplace to call someone a "DEI hire" in the current environment -- it is probably career ending. Bottom line: We can do better than the current DEI policies that have been pervasive in corporate America and the government workplace. We are seeing many corporations move on from DEI to new policies which are more inclusive for all employees and less divisive in the workplace.
