I have stated earlier that most Americans don't want the border wall, and most don't believe Mexico will directly pay for it. My assertion here is that the majority of Americans would view that the implementation of a cash transfer tax would effectively be viewed by a majority as "Mexico" paying for the wall --- even if the country of Mexico does not pay for it directly. The left better get used to the concept of this tax because if the wall is built they can be pretty assured that it will be put into place.
IMO your assertion is wrong.I also think your prediction that Trump would get such a tax through Congress is wrong as well.
Well only time will tell. First they need to build the wall before this even becomes a discussion in Congress.
Trump to Peña Nieto: border wall not so important – just don't say you won't pay Report reveals leaked transcripts of phone call between US and Mexican presidents, in which Trump begs Peña Nieto not to tell press he won’t pay for wall Donald Trump suggested his demand for payment for a border wall with Mexico was merely a political ploy, and told Mexico’s president his refusal to pay should not be mentioned in public. Trump said: “From an economic issue, it is the least important thing we were talking about.” He added: “Psychologically, it means something.” Referring to the Mexican president’s insistence that he would not pay, Trump said: “You cannot say that to the press. The press is going to go with that and I cannot live with that. You cannot say that to the press because I cannot negotiate under those circumstances.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...mexico-australia-call-transcripts-border-wall
You are really trying to find any way for the wall funding other than the way Trump said it would be funded Don't count on your latest method.IIRC Dems have implied they wont trade a wall for DACA.
