  1. Behold the REAL Dow (Dow priced in Gold)

Doth thou not see that he be crashing in a near vertical dive?

Yeah, take me disappearing thru' the smoke rings of my mind
Yeah, I've stood many times outside her window at night
To struggle with my instincts in the pale lamplight
How can I be this way when I pray to god above
I must love what I destroy and destroy the thing I love

Nominal Dow in black and white candles

Sometimes I in Brooklyn, sometimes I in Queens
Sometime I gone down to Manhattan enjoying the scene
Well I'm always keeping on the move, I love to roam
So I want to let the ladies know its hard to find me at home

So if you want to meet deadbroke, meet me on the Parkway
From 10-6 I can see anybody
I want everyone know that I'm ready like Freddy

  4. Nominal Dow (Dow priced in USD) superimposed on REAL Dow (Dow priced in Gold) shown below on the monthly frame, Lord Have Mercy ... and dig the complacency in real life by americans, almost all 350 million (or is it 400 mil already?) - arrogant as ever in the face of this MASSIVE TIDAL WAVE that has been in topping mode since 2000 - when it breaks the cascade will kill half on the spot.

So fckin expected that they already forgot the 2007-2008 warning crash and are back into their bad habits again.

    ----------------------------

So if you're interested to catch up with me
Darlin, I'll be so delighted to make you happy
But remember you must do just what I say
Don't forget to follow the route and meet me on the parkway

  5. Remember the flick, "Uncommon Valor" ?

The trick is to set off a bomb here so the enemy crowd or gang reacts = jumps there and there = bomb #2 ignites and so on as the series of planned explosions anticipates the HERD's next escape route and takes out more of them until eventually the heart of the HERD (enemy) is gone.

Ditto in financial markets - the HERD being the idiots and the Operator being BEAR

scurrying like flies on shit to Nasdaq 1998-2000, then BOMB #1

scurrying to real estate all the way to early 2006, then BOMB #2

scurrying to stocks all the way to Oct 2007, then BOMB #3

scurrying to commodities all the way to 2008, then BOMB #4

scurrying to high-yield BONDS all the way to current, coming soon BOMB#5

Admittedly, there are hardly any categories you can find "deflation" in except for "massaged" figures. Naturally, the thread has exceeded its lifetime.

Have you priced a 'flat screen' lately? Shopped in an antique store? Looked at house deals? Do you know anyone who renegoatiated his landscape fee? Negotiated with painters for a price? Got a quote on cabinets or a new counter top? Shopped sales on Men's cloths? A lot of appreciation in metals and industrial raw materials is not making it through to price increases. Price index measures still trend down. QEII merely served to raise interest rates which are not likely to result in bringing the feared accelerated price increases. I would hedge my commodities for an unexpected drop at this point.

  9. i think deflation story not dead. In AUS, there sure is one. See media how they seeing nice trend of people saving, even credit card debt down. It is stimulus that keeps things up and hope of stimulus organizers that people will start endebting again.

Question is what/when stimulus will be withdrawn. After 87 crash stimulus worked to early '90 then recession. Timewise we are about there. 2011 high chance of a recession, for world parts that dodget first bit.

Deflation is when prices are falling & what has fallen? Housing? But that was a bubble. Deadbroke you are not even funny any more. CPI is positive, not negative. It was negative for a while during credit crisis, but sinse that time it's gone positive. So please, stop pushing your personal propaganda that prices are falling as they aren't. That's a fact.
