    JohnArb/Anyone:

Not sure where this topic should go but as an aside do you have/are you involved in any NFT/gaming type projects ?

NFT's, NBA Top Shots & things like Beeple selling at Christies is way out of my knowledge zone but as fast growing market space has some amazing numbers.

I think NFT's belong in this thread! It's decentralized finance holding assets on the blockchain verus traditional finance holding physical assets with a trusted entity

I purchased 2 NFT's recently, spent about $9,500 for both (not 1, lol)

The thing with NFT's is that they are not liquid. If I want to sell those 2 NFT's, I will take a big loss, since the offers for them are lower. I can put them up for sale at higher prices and see if anyone buys them

Yea, I won't be bidding on that Beeple Christie's auction, can't afford it...

I looked at topshot, but I'm not knowledgeable on sports (basketball) so I'm unable to gauge the value of their NFT's. Also topshot forces AML/KYC on the users which I did not like, so I did not make any purchase

Just an update and fyi. I'm out of my BSCX position (2100 coins) and traded them all for another Binance Smart Chain token called AutoFarm (symbol auto).

I couldn't find the TVL for BSCX, perhaps it's too new, but just to be safe, I traded to auto that has a listed TVL. Entry price to $auto is ~$11,500

    What a failure.

Most of the BSC coins are down today (over 10%) so need to cash out of the profits before they disappear.

Converted most of the Auto bought last night to BNB, the rest to Eth, will convert half of the XVS to Eth as well, that will give all profits left on XVS

BNB is more for longer term hodl

Most likely will convert some Eth to Digg, the pegged-btc rebase coin seems to be keeping up with btc level, so it's acting as designed

just a disclosure update. This will probably be the last update on this

    Ok, I guess another update...

I'll be staying on BSC for a while, hodl mode on BNB and XVS. The bsc network is super smooth and super cheap transaction fees

Since I'm staying and no plans to sell, I might as well deposit all my XVS on the Venus platform, 13% APY, played around with the platform app, apparently I can mint VAI (similar to DAI) $ pegged tokens and those are paying 33% APY, very nice!

Minting does not incur a borrow interest rate, so basically free yield, as long as I don't get liquidated I'm playing conservative, minting about 25% of my XVS deposit value, even if XVS goes down 50% in value very quickly I should be able to deposit more collateral

Well, might as well do the same thing with BNB, only 6% APY on BNB, but again, I'll be able to mint another 25% of bnb value. I didn't go crazy and deposited all my bnb's, just a couple of hundred

[edit, misapplied the APY to the wrong value, updated below]

So, if XVS stays at this value I'll be making $$1,250/month in interest (payable in XVS). If value goes up, even higher $ value, if xvs goes down a lot in value passive income will go down in $ value as well and may need to deposit more collateral to keep ratio levels very safe (i.e. deposit more BNB)

Venus is literally like Maker when Maker was very new and yields are very high, probably because of the geo-blocks, lots of degenerate defi players are not able to participate

    (I'm also a HODL'r of BNB, XVS)

Q: The more you move stuff around, trade, stake, yield, borrow, whatever would seem to get very complicated from a tax perspective . Do you use a dedicated crypto accountant or one of the tools (eg. crypto trader tax, zen ledger etc) to do taxes?

Side note: Has anyone used the crypto tax software like above...any thoughts, good/bad etc.

I do not have an answer for your Q. Sorry...

US crypto people are not even supposed to be able to trade or do defi on BSC due to ge-blocking. I have no tax advice since I'm not a professional. I report and pay taxes when I cash out to fiat, which cannot be done on Binance.com or from BNB or XVS

    Defi update

Still hodl mode on BNB, but traded all the $XVS to $cake and deposited on the Pancake Swap platform for 130%+ APY. No Impermanent Loss risk, since single-asset staking

Experience on cakeswap has been great, very low transaction fees, very high liquidity on listed coins and very fast transaction confirmations, thanks to binance smart chain!

With that, went heavy into bsc defi, committed to bmxx-bnb liquidity pool with over 500% APY payable in $cake. There's risk of impermanent loss if either $bmxx or $bnb crashes

Added more to the yield farming today with xmark-busd liquidity pool over 700% APY (was over 900% APY when I got in, but more people coming in lowers the APY). There's risk of impermanent loss if $xmark crashes, no risk of busd crashing since it's a stable coin

Yield farming on bsc is great, cheap gas fees and fast transactions ftw
