deferred cattle contracts

any views on late summer cattle?

 

I am long june live cattle. The nearbys have sold off quite a bit due to high grain prices. IMO this should create a shortage and hence higher prices down the line - hopefully by june .

be very very careful taking outrights in cattle right now, sky high feed costs are not going to let up any time soon. This should eventually push everything down imo

 

sounds like bear spreading is the way to go.

 

all the way, they are gonna push april below the summer months. the april/june spread was 4.00 about a month and a half ago now its like 30 cents. thats some dough.
