This site would be much better if you eliminated the politics section. It affects the quality of the site, but you would are probably mostly concerned with clicks.
Might as well as the same question of the internet entirely. The (un)civilized discourse isn't limited to anything at ET.
You could I suppose. Civilized discourse. The New York Times. Newspapers. Would you say they promote civilized discourse? Why is this topic springing up in a Wide Variety of publications simultaneously? Who benefits? Who benefits?
