No, I just created it from my mind since the situation happens very frequently when logging and using the Modrian Table. Here is a back-to back example of it from one of Jack's charts. For the first Dominant up-trend I drew in Black for Dominant up legs, and Red for Non-Dominant down legs which you can see travel much further than the Dom legs. The same thing happens on the very next 'c turn' which is Dominant Down and then price rises much higher, but I did not draw in the legs to avoid making it confusing.
Ah yes.Now think about what you know about how jack says he trades. From C turn to C turn i believe he has said.Jack also mentioned i believe that the black and red "squares" are his reversal points. Now look at this same sequence of "turns" and where jack has his "squares".They don't seem to match C to C turn trades.Notice jack has another large letter at each turn.A thru D.What are those letters for? Hmm.
The A - D capital letters are the Trend Types, matching the four panels of the Modrian Table. If you notice, they reset to type A when there is a 'c turn' because a new trend has begun. Jack only suggests 'c turn' to 'c turn' trading for beginners, but he usually takes at least 60% of all the turns for the day, no matter what type they are, which can be seen from the colored boxes on his charts.
Ah excellent info. It's funny how things can be staring me right in the face for weeks (like the SET ID's) but since i was so focused on other things never paid any attention till now.Well it seems to me that you have shown with your example that no one should be trading C turn to C turn unless they like taking losses.I believe jack uses the 30m for overall trend direction and help in his reversals.Only when the C turns fit into this overall setup does he take them.So he tracks the turns to get C turns that fit into the larger picture turn points. Then he drills down to the DOM walls and OTR chart for guidance on intrabar reversal carving.
I agree with you there that this seems to be the case. I believe it will be very enlightening for us to look into the 30m and 5m interlock once we get there; it should clear up some of these issues.
Whole day.First day with a P3P/Ja on b78 for me while annotating.Carryover is looking for T1. http://screencast.com/t/uStZVREB
