With reference to the AmiBrokers’ review. In general, I agree with the reviews given. It is a good software, however, I still would like to make the following points as to why I chose TradersStudio over AmiBroker:

    1. TradersStudio does Advance Analysis without any addition programming; whereas in AmiBroker you require a custom back-tester to do the same.
    2. TradersStudio is a much easier to program and cost only slightly more.
    3. TradersStudio also offers features like Walk forward Optimisation, money management, multi-tab charts features, besides others.
    4. Besides that, TradersStudio technical support is responsive, and fast. An online chat program is available, wherein you can chat live.

However if the few hundred dollars does make a difference in choosing between TradersStudio and AmiBroker, then maybe you really might not have enough money for trading.

  4. Thanks.

I am surprised there isn't a demo or evaluation version of EOD
    TradersStudio. Why? he asks, curiously.

    Thanks

  5. If you care to search the forums that question has been asked and answered repeatedly I think.

  6. I think this thread is a shame since it's clearly a TraderStudio affiliate thread. Take a look and compare with NinjaTrader and MultiCharts to start with....

I am representing another platform which I am not going to mention here (look at my nick ;) ) but what Mr. Gyles discusses here is definitely misleading for newbies and other readers... Take care...

    Anton

  8. If you are doing back testing you should for sure look at the one I use cause I think it is by far the most next generation as it does event based versus single instrument based back testing.

I did find it curious that all of the reviews were about 1 page, with a couple sentences of positives, and then the rest of the page listing everything that was wrong with the platform.

And then came the TradersStudio review, which is 25+ pages of positives with almost no negatives whatsoever. Is it really that much better than everything else??
