the NYSE has decided to close for the "day of Mourning"... personally I think this is crap. anyway, does anyone know is CME is closing as well for futures? Even if CME is open, it will turn out to be low volume day. and this is on top of a short month anyway with 20 regular trading days, now will be 19
No that’s not true. The last time the US stock market closed on a day that it was not supposed to be close was due to hurricane. Beyond that I think September 11 is the only other time in recent history
Here's what I found. http://fortune.com/2018/12/01/nyse-closed-wednesday-bush/ So you can trade things like cows, beans, gold. Go cows! I love cows.
Dude, do YOUR research. Yes, the last time the market closed for a living POTUS death was Ford, fine and dandy. But the market DID close in an "unorthodox" fashion for 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy. Oi! Were you even alive when 9/11 happened? Markets were closed for like 6 days or something. So disrespectful to the shit the US has gone through. What is the big deal if the US markets take a break for a day that is not on the schedule, impromptu? Ug!
