I'm watching a documentary on amazon prime about PALEO diet. Mostly talking about inflammation throughout the body at the microscopic level that is hurting our health.

  3. Every single person I know who went the strict paleo route gained every pound back and then some. Nearly impossible to stay on this diet to the degree that it's promoted. Eat sensibly, cut out the fast and junk food, get some exercise and that's 90% of the battle. The other half is all mental. :D

  4. Apart from the ability or inability to stick with the paleo diet, the "hunter-gatherer" premise is flawed since many of the vegetables included in the paleo diet were inedible unless farmed to their present form. And that's interesting, since the paleo thing is about avoiding farmed food:

So it seems that paleo enthusiasts have cherry-picked a premise that doesn't really resemble historical reality. That's what the video is about.

People predicate their thinking on evolution. The Bible says we were made to function in a very different environment, the one before the Flood and possibly there was change before that even. To Anthropologists it's obvious that we are made to eat plants yet they searched the world, literally, for a place where we can get all the nutrition we need without killing something and eating it and have not found such a place. As long as the assumptions are bad the reasoning will be bad and we will continue to circle endlessly in search of the right diet.

The right diet must first consist of Stress management and good sleep. If those two are not in check it doesn't matter how healthy you eat.

A healthy diet should consist of sufficient calories composed of sufficient protein and an abundance of all fats (especially omega 3), fruits and veggies. Avoid certain foods like wheat and soya (unless fermented..both of them). Also avoid trans fats. Certain vitamins and minerals may still need to be supplemented.

No need for any paleo diets or anything like that.
