69 million inflators have been recalled in the U.S. to the tune of well over a billion of dollars.

    .......11 deaths.

Illnesses directly related to smoking kill 1300 people/day in the U.S.

    The CDC states:

    - In 2012, $9.17 billion was spent on advertising and promotion of cigarettes—more than $25 million every day, or more than $1 million every hour.

-Each day, more than 3,200 people younger than 18 years of age smoke their first cigarette.

-Each day, an estimated 2,100 youth and young adults who have been occasional smokers become daily cigarette smokers.

-Nearly $170 billion/year in direct medical care for adults.

-In fiscal year 2016, states will collect $25.8 billion from tobacco taxes and legal settlements but will only spend $468 million—less than 2%—on prevention and cessation programs.

..........Makes sense to me. We need to step up airbag enforcement and get them off the market pronto at any cost. People are dying. You could be number 12.

The probability of dying in a car crash has become virtually zero because the ntsb has be extremely active in promoting safety.

If the NIH were only as effective as the ntsb.....
