The only reason ES trades in .25 increments while the floor spoos trade in .10 increments is to provide arbitrage opportunities for the remaining S&P floor traders - who aren't needed. This arbitrage stunts the movement of ES breakouts making it choppier to trade. Instead of adding value, the floor is subtracting value in the S&P index.
Just because you don't like it choppy, doesn't in anyway "subtract value" from the index. The world does not revolve around you.
